Ricardo Adam, Founder

Mr. Ricardo Adam is a private entrepreneur with a variety of real estate investments in Canada and abroad.

Mr. Adam emigrated from Lebanon to Canada after the civil war of 1958 in order to explore new markets for his family’s jewelry business, Leon Adam Jewelry. After the jewelry’s facilities and retail points were destroyed during Lebanon’s 1975 civil war, Mr. Adam reoriented his efforts and investments into real estate.

Relying on his strong relationships with the community, Mr. Adam founded, in 1980, Adam Real Estate & Development Inc., a private company engaging in land development, asset management and hospitality investments.

Throughout his career in real estate, Mr. Adam received several awards, including the following. In 1985, the City of Gatineau awarded Mr. Adam a medal of appreciation for his active role in the growth of the city. In 1987, The Right Honorable Brian Mulroney, Prime Minister of Canada, presented Mr. Ricardo Adam with a high distinction award in recognition for his role in the development of the City of Gatineau, acknowledging by the same token his significant business and community achievements. In 2006, the Canadian-Lebanese Chamber of Commerce & Industry presented Mr. Adam with a Lifetime Achievement Award in recognition of his outstanding business success and community service throughout his career.

While his son Alain Adam is now responsible for Adam Real Estate’s operations and business development, Mr. Ricardo Adam continues to ensure an active participation in the leadership and orientations of the company.
